Dr. Bowen is a New York-based artist, designer and educator interested in site-specific visualization using computational toolsets.
His current project, based on the perceptually challenging architecture of Arakawa + Gins, came out of an interest in what 19th century scientist, Michael Faraday, described as “varying the modes of perception.”
His creative process hinges on the innate intertranslatability of all the varied forms of digital media.
He is a core faculty member at School of Visual Art in the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media Dept. and also MFA Computer Art.
