New transfer students are welcome to apply to the Human Biology and Society (B.A.) major. Continuing juniors (i.e., Class of 2028) with exceptional circumstances may apply but will need to fill out the “Petition for Exception Section” of the major application.
Students who applied in the past and were denied admission cannot re-apply.

New transfer students who were accepted to UCLA as a life science major listed below may apply to the Human Biology and Society (B.S.) major. New transfer students who got into UCLA with a major not listed below may NOT apply to the B.S. major.

- Computational Biology
- Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution (EBE)
- Marine Biology
- Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics (MIMG)
- Molecular, Cell Developmental Biology (MCDB)
- Neuroscience
- Physiological Sciences
- Psychobiology
